Preparation

Dress Code: Black Tie Optional

The dress code is black tie optional (also known as formal). This typically means suits for men and dresses for women. If you happen to own tweed, it will complement the traditional attire of the Norwegian guests beautifully.

Bunad

Norwegian guests are warmly encouraged to wear their national attire, bunad, if you own one and have the opportunity to do so. This will be a wonderful symbol of the union of two cultures and a delight for the British guests to see.

Wedding Colour Scheme

Colour Scheme

Our wedding colours include cool blues, deep purples, crisp whites, and soft greens, as illustrated. While there’s no expectation to match, you are welcome to incorporate these colours into your outfit if you wish.

Weather

June in Nesodden is usually mild, with daytime temperatures in the low 20s°C and evenings in the low teens. While we’re hoping for sunshine, there’s always a chance of clouds or rain. The celebrations will take place mostly indoors, with some outdoor activities depending on the weather.

Food

For any last-minute needs, there is both a supermarket and a bakery nearby. Dietary requirements can be noted in the RSVP.
